Oklahoma City Police Department Drops COVID Vaccination Requirement For New Hires, Recruits

OKLAHOMA CITY – 

The Oklahoma City Police Department said it is dropping the COVID-19 vaccination mandate for all new hires and recruits.

OCPD MSgt. Gary Knight said neither the vaccine nor a negative test is required to become a police recruit, according to a news release sent Wednesday.

The department is also offering a $5500 hiring bonus.
