MOORE, Okla. (AP) – Moore police say an arrest has been made in a weekend drive-by shooting that left a teenage girl dead.

Police Sgt. Jeremy Lewis said an 18-year-old was taken to the Cleveland County jail Monday on a complaint of first-degree murder.

According to police, shots were fired into the home early Saturday, striking 14-year-old Railena Rhodes in the neck.

Oklahoma City television station KWTV reported that several rounds were fired but that it did not appear Rhodes was the intended target. Television station KOCO reported the girl was in her bedroom when she was hit and that she died on the way to a hospital.

Moore police said there were about a dozen people in the house at the time of the shooting but that Rhodes was the only one hit.
