Rosie Lee (Gregory) Ailey, 93, of Blackwell, OK, left this life on August 7, 2021. A Private Graveside Ceremony will be held on Monday, August 9, 2021, at IOOF Cemetery in Tonkawa, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 505 Thunderbird Road, Tonkawa, OK, 74653.

Rosie was born on October 21, 1927, at home in Creek County, OK, to James Floyd and Bertha (Dawson) Gregory. Rosie attended school in Gypsy, OK. She married Walter Doyle Ailey on July 21, 1942. They lived around Creek County until 1947, then moved to Tonkawa where they raised their 3 children, Rosetta Pintens, Ronald Ailey and Eunice McGavock.

Rosie loved to garden, sew, fish, and camp, which she did a lot of in her younger years. She owned and operated her own upholstery shop in Tonkawa and made leather clothing for the Miss Oklahoma Pageant for several years, until she lost her eye sight and was forced to retire.

Rosie is survived by her children; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, 2 grandsons, 1 sister and 2 brothers.
