Two convicted sex offenders have been indicted by a grand jury on murder and rape charges in the killing of four women in Orange County, California, in late 2013 and early 2014. The victims had a history of prostitution.
One of the suspects told police in an interrogation that there was a fifth victim, but she has never been identified or found.
– Jarrae Nykkole Estepp, 21, arrived in Orange County by bus from Oklahoma the day before she was killed on March 14. Her body was found on a conveyor belt at a trash-recycling plant after being disposed of in a trash bin.
– Kianna Jackson, 20, of Las Vegas arrived in Santa Ana in October 2013. Her mother said Jackson soon stopped responding to her text messages.
– Josephine Monique Vargas, 34, was last seen on Oct. 24, 2013, after leaving a family birthday party to go to a store. Her sister said she spoke to her every day until the calls suddenly stopped.
– Martha Anaya, 28, asked her boyfriend to pick up their 5-year-old daughter so she could work on Nov. 12, 2013, then stopped responding to his messages later that night.
