Feds: White prison gangs operate in Miss., Okla.

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) – Federal prosecutors say alleged members of white supremacist prison gangs in Mississippi and Oklahoma have been arrested on racketeering charges tied to violent crimes and drug distribution.
The Justice Department says in a news release Thursday that 13 of the 14 people indicted in Mississippi and all 11 indicted in Oklahoma are in custody.
Prosecutors say those indicted are believed to be members of Aryan Brotherhood Mississippi, or members or associates of Universal Aryan Brotherhood of Oklahoma – whites-only gangs that use Nazi symbols and have crime operations inside and outside prisons.
The 10-count Mississippi indictment was handed down October 23rd and unsealed Thursday. The four-count Oklahoma indictment was handed down November 5th and unsealed November 10th.
The Mississippi indictment says the gangs have carried out killings, assaults and kidnappings.
