A pavement resurfacing project on northbound and southbound US-177/S. Main St. between Chrysler Ave. and SH-11 in Blackwell is expected to begin at 8 a.m. Monday, June 14. Motorists can expect intermittent lane closures daily one mile at a time within the 3-mile project length through fall 2021. Drivers should plan extra travel time through this area and expect delays.

The $2.5 million contract was awarded in February 2021 to Evans & Associates Construction Co. Inc. of Ponca City. The project is expected to complete by fall 2021, weather permitting.
