Testimony to resume in Oklahoma officer assaults

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – Testimony is scheduled to resume in a preliminary hearing for an Oklahoma City police officer accused of sexually assaulting 13 women while on patrol.

The hearing resumes Tuesday for 27-year-old Daniel Holtzclaw, who was arrested in August and faces more than 30 charges, including rape, sexual battery and stalking. Holtzclaw has pleaded not guilty.

Eight women testified in the hearing on Monday.

Police began investigating Holtzclaw after a woman who testified she was forced to expose herself to him reported it to other officers on June 18.

None of the other women who testified reported the incidents to police until detectives contacted them after opening a criminal investigation.
