Blackwell resident pronounced dead after vehicle accident in Noble County

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that a fatality collision occurred at about 1:40 p.m. Sunday on County Road 20, about a quarter mile south of Knob Hill, which is approximately 1 mile north of Lucien, OK in Noble County.

The patrol said the accident involved a 2019 Ford F350 pulling a 16 foot stock trailer driven by Alvaro Rascon Bojorquez (SIC), 65, of Blackwell, OK. Bojorquez was uninjured.

A pedestrian, Patricia Rascon (SIC), 52, of Blackwell, OK was transported by Perry EMS to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Enid, Oklahoma. She was pronounced desceased at the hospital due to trunk internal, trunk external, arm, and leg injuries.

The Highway Patrol’s report stated that Rascon was opening a gate to exit private property. Rascon slipped on a cattle guard attached to the gate and fell in-between the pickup and trailer of Bojorquez’s truck as they were passing through the gate. Rascon was then run over by the trailer. The condition of the driver is reported to have been apparently normal. The cause of the collision is attributed to pedestrian action. The report also notes that the weather was rainy and the roadway condition was wet.
