Ponca City Woman injured in one-vehicle accident

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a one-vehicle accident happened Thursday at about 6:20 pm, two miles west and 5 and a half miles south of Ponca City, resulting in injuries to a 27-year-old Ponca City woman.

The OHP report indicates that a Chevrolet Blazer driven by Alisha Murray, was westbound on Cowboy Hill Road when, apparently due to excessive speed, the vehicle departed the roadway to the right and rolled one and a half times before coming to a rest on it’s top.

Murray was ejected from the vehicle, as was a passenger, Dale Richardson-Rose, age 28, from Hulbert, OK.

A second passenger, 45-year-old Clint Short of Ponca City, was not injured in the accident.

Murray was transported by Air Evac to OU Medical Oklahoma City, OK, where she was admitted in good condition with head and trunk internal injuries. Richardson-Rose was taken to Alliance Health in Ponca City via personal vehicle where he was treated and released.
