OKLAHOMA CITY – Rep. Trish Ranson, D-Stillwater, issued the following statement after the House passed a resolution to amend a language error in House Bill 1759 – legislation dealing with cybercrime.

“Protecting citizens, especially small business owners, from the emerging threat of cybercrime is important,” Ranson said. “In the spirit of bipartisanship, I want to thank the governor’s office for catching an error in the language of this bill that would have resulted in a veto. Now, instead of waiting until next session, we are able to address the error for a law that protects working Oklahomans.”
