Downtown Sidewalk Improvements to begin April 5th

Mike Seals - March 31, 2021 11:46 pm

Beginning Monday, April 5, the sidewalk on the east side of Third Street, between Grand Avenue and Central Avenue, will be replaced, as will the north half of the west side of Fourth Street between Grand Avenue and Cleveland Avenue.

Temporary access will be provided to those businesses affected.

The existing deteriorated sidewalks will be replaced with new, ADA compliant pavement. The curb and gutter sections will be replaced, some with a stepped curb where appropriate.

New wheelchair ramps will be placed as appropriate.

Construction is scheduled to take 45 calendar days barring weather delays. The City of Ponca City has entered into a contract with Do-U-Right Construction of Ponca City to perform this improvement project.

Any questions regarding this project may be directed to the City Engineering department at 763-8046.
