Average price of gas falls below $3 in Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – The average price for a gallon of gas in Oklahoma City is below $3 per gallon for the first time in nearly 10 months.

Triple A Oklahoma said Saturday that the average price for a gallon of self-serve regular gas is $2.98 in the state’s largest city, down from $3.00 per gallon on Friday and below $3 per gallon for the first time since Christmas Day. 2013.

In Tulsa, the state’s second largest city, the average prices is $2.91 per gallon. AAA says the average price is also below $3 per gallon in Enid, Bartlesville, Durant, Okmulgee, Stigler, Wagoner, Norman, Choctaw, Shawnee and Edmond.

The statewide average, however, remains above $3 at $3.02 per gallon.
