TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Tulsa police say one of their officers is in a medically-induced coma after he lost consciousness and a pulse following an altercation with a patient in an ambulance.
Police said in a statement that officer Sean Love was responding to a call Friday morning from an ambulance company about a combative patient. After Love engaged in a physical altercation with the patient, police say he suffered a medical emergency, lost consciousness and had no pulse. Paramedics and other officers started to perform CPR and brought him to a nearby hospital, where his condition improved from critical to stable.
