Explosion at Stillwater energy plant injures 4

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) – Stillwater fire officials say four people were injured in an explosion at an energy company in Stillwater.

Training Chief Robert Black says the explosion in a shop building at Horizon Energy Services was reported about 9:30 a.m. Monday. Black says one of the injured was flown to a hospital in Tulsa and another was flown to an Oklahoma City hospital while the other two were taken to a hospital in Stillwater.

Black says the four are all employees of the company. Their conditions were not immediately available.

Black says the cause of the blast was not yet known, but that two of the injured employees were working on a tanker truck at the time of the explosion and that there was significant damage to the building.
