Bertha Elizabeth Beck Hall, 94, a long-time resident of Ponca City, OK passed away peacefully on Friday, February 19, 2021, surrounded by her family. Services will be held Tuesday, February 23, 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 218 S 6th St, Ponca City, OK with Michael Taylor officiating: interment following service at IOOF, 1040 S. Waverly St., Ponca City, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK. Masks are required. Bertha was born on March 19, 1926, on a farm in Logan County, Oklahoma to parents Raymond George Beck and Elizabeth Ruth Frank Beck. She attended school in Cashion graduating in 1943. She attended The American Institute of Banking Ponca City, OK. She was employed at The Daily Oklahoman and Security Bank, retiring in 1975.

Bill and Bertha were married in a country church on June 24,1956. They celebrated 64 years of marriage in 2020.

She was also a 70-year member of The Grand Chapter of Oklahoma Order of the Eastern Star.

Survived by husband, Bill J Hall; Children Cathy J. Ferguson, William R & wife Jaynell Hall all of Ponca City, Sharon S. Cooper & husband Bill Cooper, Northlake, TX.; brother, Raymond Beck, of Guthrie, OK; grandchildren Jay Ferguson & wife Kim of Ponca City, Scott Ferguson & wife Natasha of Broken Arrow, OK; Becky Pontious and husband Benny of Ponca City, OK; Chad Hall & wife Robyn of Tonkawa, OK; Jeremy Hall & wife Cristie of Tulsa, OK; Tony Cooper & wife Julie of Prosper, TX; Jennifer Richmond of Northlake, TX; Andy Cooper and wife Carrie of Piedmont, OK; 28 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by Parents Raymond & Elizabeth Beck. Siblings Tom Beck, Richard Beck & Helen Boling and son-in-law Bob Ferguson.

Bertha would often be found in her garden doting on her flowers or picking the tomatoes before those pesky deer got to them. Her hands were never still always sewing, quilting, or embroidering on one of her projects. She was an amazing cook and a gracious hostess always up for planning a good party. She was very proud of her family and the hole left by her absence is impossible to fill.

The family expresses appreciation to the staff of the Hospice of North Central Oklahoma for enabling Bertha to be comfortable at home surround by her family and friends.
