CHICKASHA, Okla. (AP) – A man found in a New Mexico hospital who was wanted for questioning in the death of his girlfriend in Chickasha has been booked into jail on a complaint of a stolen vehicle.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says 31-year-old Lofton Gray, Jr., was released from a New Mexico hospital on Monday. Authorities say he will be extradited back to Oklahoma.

The body of 24-year-old Amanda Cecil was found by a family member on Friday in the Chickasha home she shared with Gray.

The OSBI says Gray was involved in an alleged road rage that left him hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. An OSBI agent who flew to New Mexico to interview Gray about Cecil’s death is back in Oklahoma.
