OKLAHOMA CITY – House Speaker Charles McCall, R-Atoka, issued the following statement following the passing of former state Rep. Marian Cooksey, a Republican from Edmond (House District 39) who served six terms in the House of Representatives from 2004 to 2016:

“I am deeply saddened to learn of Marian’s passing. She and I served in the House of Representatives together for four years, and she was very warm and kind to all who knew her. She loved Oklahoma and she loved having the privilege of serving constituents in the Legislature. My prayers are with her family during this time.”
