Tulsa hospital to open new patient tower this week

TULSA, Okla. (AP) – A hospital in Tulsa will open a new eight-story patient tower and emergency center this week.

The Tulsa World reports that Saint Francis Hospital’s biggest expansion in its history has been in the works for 12 years.

The $206 million, 450,000-square-foot project on the west side of the campus will provide 150 new beds in private rooms.

The area includes a pediatric emergency center with 25 treatment rooms, separate waiting rooms and entrances, and child-friendly lighting and decorations.
