Woodlands Students Learn About Poppies and Veterans

Mike Seals - November 12, 2020 7:59 pm

During their library time, Kindergarten and 1st grade students learned about the significance of the poppy for Armistice Day and designed their own poppy.

2nd and 3rd grades also learned about the poppy and watched a read aloud titled Granddad Bud: A Veterans Day Story.

4th and 5th learned about Moina Belle Michael, The Poppy Lady and Flanders Fields.

They designed our own Flanders Fields with the created poppies.
