S. Herbert Shawver, III

March 26, 1940 – October 25, 2020

Dr. Seymoure, Herbert Shawver, III, 80, of Tonkawa, died on October 25, 2002. A private graveside ceremony was held on Friday, October 30, 2020. A private graveside service was held at Odd Fellow’s Cemetery in Tonkawa, on Friday, October 30, 2020. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.

Herbert was born in Blackwell, OK, on March 26, 1940 Seymoure H. II and Wincel Vee (Smith) Shawver. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Kansas State University and his EDD from the University of Kansas. Herb taught for public schools and later, Airborne Express. He retired in 2017, to Rogers, Arkansas.

He is survived by his partner, Andrew Williams; son, Harwood, Shawver and his wife; brother, Kent Shawver and his wife; cousin Charles Conaghan and his wife; special friend, Linda Varela.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
