Another record high for coronavirus hospitalizations in Oklahoma

The Associated Press - October 10, 2020 1:04 pm

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The Oklahoma State Department of Health reports another one-day record increase in hospitalizations due to coronavirus and the second highest one day increase in confirmed cases.

The department on Saturday reported 758 people hospitalized and 1,533 newly reported cases as well as four additional deaths as a result of COVID-19, the illness caused by the virus.

There have been a total of 98,621 cases of the virus now reported in Oklahoma and 1,095 deaths.

The true number of coronavirus cases in Oklahoma is likely higher because many people have not been tested, and studies indicate that people can be infected and spread the virus while not feeling sick.
