Lucas: Congress Should Provide Real Help

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Frank Lucas (OK-03) released the following statement after the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Senate Amendment to H.R. 925, the Heroes Act 2.0:

“At a time when 837,000 more Americans are filing for unemployment and small businesses are closing on Main Street, House Democrats are more focused on passing a messaging bill rather than a bipartisan bill that will actually provide relief to Americans and families across the nation. The bill passed by House Democrats tonight isn’t realistic or responsible in the slightest,” said Congressman Frank Lucas. “Instead of drafting a bill solely by Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Congress should work together, as a bipartisan institution, with the Administration to provide real help for Oklahomans and millions more across America.”
