February 6, 1940 – September 15, 2020
Anna Colette Roach, 80, of Blackwell, died at 9:59 PM Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Select Specialty Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK.
She was born February 6, 1940 in Ponca City, OK. to Samuel and Louise Sanford. Anna was the proud mother of five children. She is survived by eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Anna worked hard her whole life. She was a dishwasher at Cobb’s Café in Ponca City, she was employed at The Blackwell Smelter and had a long career as a custodian at Conoco in Ponca City. After retiring in 1992, she worked at OCC as a custodian, until her health prevented her to continue.
Anna enjoyed traveling, fishing, playing cards, and gardening. Anna was well known for her fried chicken and homemade pies. In her later years she became an avid quilter, passionate about creating quilts for friends and family.
Anna was survived by three children, Phillip W. Sanford, Nancy and husband Richard Crow, Georgia and husband David Denney; grandchildren, Bruce Tohee, Jr., Felisha and husband Mark Oswald, Shane and wife Alyssa Sanford, Clarissa and husband CJ Bryant, Alex and wife Kyleigh Crow, Megan Crow, Hannah Sanford, and Cliffton Crow; great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Max Oswald, Tinlie, Bo, Layken, and Grantley Bryant, Aspen Drulia and Meah Bradford.
Anna was preceded in death by her father and mother; siblings, Lewis Sanford, Nancy Holder-Medina, and Sandra Garriott-Ross; children, Jerry and Bruce Tohee; and her loving partner, Neil Wilson.
Words cannot express how grateful the family is toward those who have supported our mother during her lengthy illness. A special thank you to: Tiaunna Murray, Carmen Huffman and family, John and Rosie North, and Monica Bell.
The family invites you to join them for a memorial service in the Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Bill Kalfas officiating.
Anna’s ashes will be scattered at a later date.
