Ponca City Chamber of Commerce has been celebrating all week in honor of Chamber Week. Chamber president, Rich Cantillion said they started the week off with a Cash Mob Monday, then on Tuesday they hosted the new teacher luncheon and Wednesday there was Pride Training.

“ Today at 11:30 we’re going to have a Chamber Lunch and Learn at City Hall in the Commission Chamber,” Cantillion said. “It’s really on how to make your business healthy friendly, so there will be tips on what you can do to help your employees be more healthy and just your general overall work environment, and also how you can certify your business as a healthy friendly business.”

Cantillion said all companies are welcome, but you do need to RSVP with the Chamber. Then to end Chamber week there is a ribbon cutting at Kristy’s Balloon Utopia tomorrow morning.

“Then on Friday afternoon from three to five we’re going to have an open house here at our Chamber and its for all our chamber members to come in,” Cantillion said. “ They will get to come into our offices, be with the staff and it’s our way to say thank you for supporting the Chamber.”

The Chamber open house will also have hors d’oeuvres and drinks.

This celebration only comes around every other year on the first week of August. The year in between the Chamber hosts its fundraiser. Although Chamber week ends this week, Party at the Palace also celebrates the accomplishments of the Chamber. Party at the Palace is free to Chamber members and is next Friday at the Marland Mansion.
