Special Absentee Voting Options Valid for Nov. 3 General Election

Mike Seals - August 31, 2020 11:19 pm

When Governor Stitt extended his Executive Order last Friday, continuing the State of Emergency due to COVID-19, it automatically kicked in the special absentee voter provisions for the November 3 General Election. This is because the Emergency Order will be in effect within 45 days of the election.

These special voting provisions will be the same that have been in place during the primaries. Notarization of ballots will not be required for the General Election. Photocopies of valid IDs can be used to verify your ballot. You can read more about the special provisions here.

Video tutorials are also available with instructions on following the special provisions.

The election board still lists businesses, organizations and public libraries that will provide free photocopy and/or notary services to validate mail-in ballots. Public libraries wishing to add or edit their participation may email Misha Mohr at the Oklahoma State Election Board.
