Blackwell Man Injured in Auto Accident

According to reports from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, an injury collision occurred Saturday just before 9 p.m. on L.A. Cann, 195 ft. north of E Prospect near Ponca City.

48-year-old John H. Suggs, of Blackwell, was travelling westbound on East Prospect, and while attempting to negotiate a right-hand turn onto L.A. Cann, he departed the roadway to the left, leaving the roadway and striking a tree on the driver’s side of his vehicle. He was transported by Ponca City EMS to Alliance Health Ponca City and later transferred to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS, where hw as admitted in monitored, but stable, condition with injuries to the head, legs, and trunk internal.
