Fatality Collision in Osage County

According to reports from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a fatality accident occurred on Wednesday, 1 July, at approximately 10:45 a.m. on New Prue Road one-tenth of a mile west of Lake Road and 1 mile north of Prue Oklahoma, in Osage County.

A 2004 Ford Ranger pickup driven by James Edward Willcox, age 74, who had an address in Osage County, departed the roadway and impacted a concrete culvert. The driver over-corrected and re-entered the roadway in a broadside slide, causing the vehicle to roll. The vehicle rolled and undetermined number of time, partially ejecting the driver before coming to rest on its top. Willcox was pronounced dead at the scene by Hominy EMS due to head and internal injuries.
