Election Results: 802 Passes, Inhofe has Strong Showing

Results for the June 30th election, as reported and posted on the Oklahoma State Election Board website.

With 100% of the precincts reporting, State Question 802 regarding Medicaid Expansion is passed with 50.48% of the vote supporting the proposal and 49.52% of the vote going against the proposal. The question received 340,279 votes for and 333,761 votes against.

Incumbent Senator Jim Inhofe has a comfortable lead in the Republican primary for his seat with 74.06% of the voters casting their ballot on his behalf, with his closest challenger, JJ Stitt, receiving just over 15% of the votes, John Tompkins getting just over 6% of the vote and Neil Mavis garnering just over 4% of the ballots. All precincts have reported.

The Democratic Primary for the US Senate position is showing Abby Broyles with 60.46% of the votes, Elysabeth Britt with 16.67% of the vote, and the other two Democratic candiates, Sheila Bilyeu and R.O. ‘Joe’ Cassity, Jr., with less than 12% each.

In a direct comparison, Inhofe collected 277,746 votes, with Broyles listed as having 163,845 votes.

Todd Hiett is projected to win his run for Corporation Commissioner, with all precincts reporting, getting 74.59% of the votes, with Harold Spradling getting 25.41% of the votes.

For US Representative (District 01), Democrat Kojo Asamoa-Caesar won with 63.63% of the votes against Mark A. Keeter, with 36.37%.

For US Representative (District 02), with 100% of the precincts reporting, Markwayne Mullin has received 79.91% of the votes. Joseph Silk was a distant second with 12.7% of the votes, and Rhonda Hopkins got 7.39% of the votes.

Tom Cole was the strong winner of the Republican primary for US Representative for District 04. With all precincts reporting, Cole had 76.34% of the vote. James Taylor was a distant second with 15.18 % of the vote. Trevor Sipes received just under 6% of the votes and Gilbert O. Sanders had 2.51% of the vote. In the Democratic primary for the race, Mary Brannon won with 63.85% of the vote. David R. Slemmons received 19.42% and John D. Argo got 16.73%. Cole received a total of 55,682 votes. Brannon got 32,184.

In a packed, 9-candidate Republican primary for the US Representative position for the 5th District, and with all precincts reporting, Terry Neese won the day with 36.49 (24,822) votes. Stephanie Bice received 25.41% (17,289) of the ‘yes’ votes, and the nearest challenger was David Hill with 18.98% (12,915 votes).Janet Barrei got just under 10% percent of the vote and the other candidates, Charles Tuffy Pringle, Michale Ballard, Miles V. Rahimi, Shelli Landon, and Jake A. Merrick, all got between 1% and 3% of the votes each. In the Democratic primary, Kendra Horn received 85.69% of the votes against Tom Guild, who got 14.31%. Horn received a total of 60,136 votes.

For State Senator, District 1, with 100% of the Republican votes in, Micheal Bergstrom, came out on top with just under 65% of the vote going his way. His opponent, Jame Fuser, received just over 35% of the vote.

For State Senator, District 3, wth 100% of the 47 precincts reporting, Blake ‘Cowboy’ Stephens received 60.43% of the Republican vote and his opponent, Wayne Shaw, went home with 39.57%.

With 100% of the precincts reporting on the Republican vote for State Senator for District 5, Republican George H. Burns got 38.28% of the vote. Justin Jackson received 33.84% of the vote, and Jimmy Westbrook ended up with 27.88 percent of the vote. In the Democratic primary, Randy Coleman got 76.6% of the votes against Bevon Rogers, with 23.4%. Republican Burns received a total of 2,343 votes, while Democrat Coleman received 3,893 votes.

For State Senator for District 7, with all votes in on the Republican primary, Larry Boggs got 46.42% of the vote with Warren Hamilton a few points behind with 42.22% of the vote, and Kevin Woody with 11.36% of the ballots. In the Democratic primary, Jerry L. Donathan got 64.73% of the vote against Cathy Zukosky Thornton’s 35.27%.

In the Republican primary for State Senator for District 13 with all votes recorded, Greg McCortney walked away with 74.5% of the vote versus Carisa Roberson, who got 25.5% of the vote.

In the District 15 Democratic primary, with all votes counted, Alex Scott got 61. 17% of the vote, while Matt Hecox got 38.83%.

For District 17’s State Senator, with all precincts reporting, the Republican primary resulted in Shane David Jett getting 44.18% of the vote, Ron Sharp getting 33.33%, and Brandon Baumgarten getting 22.5% of the votes.

The race for State Senator for District 19, with 100% of the vote in, Roland Peterson ended up with 54.44% of the Republican primary votes against David M. Mason’s 45.56%.

With all precincts reporting in the District 35 State Senator Republican primary race, Kyden Creekpaum got 43.8% of the vote, Cheryl Baber had 34.02% and Linda Morrissey got 22.18% of the votes. In the Democratic primary, Jo Anna Dossett got 57.2% of the votes, while Carly Hotvedt got 30.87% and Stan Allen Young got 11.93%.

In the Republican primary for the State Senator race for District 37, with 100% of the precincts reporting, Cody Rogers got a narrow win with 50.63% over Chris Emerson’s 49.37%. Rogers received 4,024 votes to Emerson’s 3,924 votes.

For State Senator, District 43, with 100 percent of the Republican primary vote in, Paul Scott won with 49.9% of the votes. Jessica Garvin got 39.25% of the votes and Kaity Keith received 10.84%.

For the unexpired term for State Senator for District 28, with 100% of the votes in, Zack Taylor won with 59.32% of the votes, with Mike Haines getting 33.39% of the votes, and Christian Ford getting just over 7% of the votes.

In the Republican primary for State Representative for District 1, with all precincts reporting, Eddy Dempsey won the day with 60.31% of the votes against challenger Eric Ensley, who got 39.69% of the votes.

For State Representative (District 3), with all votes in, Rick West got 53.96% of the vote against Lundy Kiger, who got 46.04% of the Republican votes.

In the District 11 State Representative Republican primary, with all votes counted, Wendi Stearman got 55.495 of the votes with challenger Derrel Fincher gathering 44.51% of the votes.

In the State Representative for District 12 race, with all precincts reporting, Kevin McDugle got 52.94% of the votes while Justin Dine came in second with 47.06%.

The Republican primary race for State Representative for District 14, with all precincts in, ended up with Chris Sneed getting 60.32% of the votes against George Faught, who got 39.68% of the votes.

With 100% of the precincts reporting in the State Representative Republican primary for District 15, Randy Randleman got 73.27% of the vote, while Angie Brinlee got 26.73%.

In the District 17 race for State Representative, with all votes in, the Republican primary ended up with Jim Grego getting 61.87% of the vote and challenger Shannon Rowell got 38.13%.

With all precincts reporting in the District 18 State Representative race, Republican David Smith got 61.56% of the votes, with Brenda Angel getting 23.41% and Brecken Wagner getting 15.03%.

For State Representative, District 20, with all precincts reporting, the Republican primary ended up with Sherrie Conley getting 56.95% of the vote and Steve Herburger getting 43.05%.

The Republican primary for State Representative, District 24 race, with all votes in, has Logan J. Phillips getting 52.89% of the vote, John Andy Baca with 20.12%, Sam Stamper with 15.78%, and Elijah Harelson getting 11.21%.

In the District 25 race for State Representative Republican primary, with 100% of the precincts reporting, Ronny Johns got 68.24% of the vote and Gary Rhynes got 31.76%.

For State Representative, District 28, in the Republican primary with 100% of the precincts reporting, Danny Williams got 54.16% of the votes with Jerri Parker getting 45.84%.

Also with all votes in, for the State Representative race for District 30, the Republican primary ended up with Mark Lawson getting 76.13%, Jake Rowland getting 16.1% and Kate Stromlund getting 7.77%.

All precincts are reporting in the District 31 race for State Representative. In the Republican primary, Garry Mize got 66.78% of the vote and Karmin Grider got 33.22%.

District 33 State Representative, with all precincts reporting, Republican John Talley, with 54.92% of the votes, beat out Brice Nathaniel Chaffin, who got 46.08%.

In the District 40 State Representative Republican primary, with all votes in, Chad Cladwell, with 56.62% of the vote won against Taylor Venus, who got 43.38%.

For the State Representative for District 42 race, with all precincts reporting, Republican Cynthia ‘Cindy’ Roe, got 61.64% of the vote against Nicole Stevens, who got 38.36%.

In the State Representative race for District 52, with all votes counted, Gerrid Kendrix, with 64.13% of the vote, beat out Scot Simco, who ended up with 35.87%.

In the District 56 State Representative race, with all precincts reporting, Dick Lowe received 53.49% of the vote and Randy Talley got 46.51%.

For the State Representative for District 59 Republican primary, with all precincts reporting, Mike Dobrinski, with 71.73% of the vote, handily won against Adam N. Masters, who got 28.27%.

Also with all precincts reporting, in the State Representative race for District 61, Kenton Patzkowsky received 55.77% of the vote against Kenny Bob Tapp, who got 44.23%.

In the Republican primary for District 62 State Representative, with all precincts reporting, Daniel Pae has 74.61% of the vote against Robert Johns, who has 25.39%.

State Representative, District 66 Republican primary, with all precincts reporting, has Jadine Nollan, with 69.12% beating Emily DeLozier, who has 30.88%.

In the District 69 State Representative Republican primary, with all precincts reporting, Sheila Dills has 61.8% of the vote and Angela Strohm has 38.2%.

With all precincts reporting in the State Representative, District 70, race, Republican Carol M. Bush has 68.8% of the vote and Taylor Woodrum has 31.92%.

For State Representative District 71 Republican primary, with all precincts reporting, Mike Masters is showing 48.87% of the vote, Beverly A. Atteberry has 44.48%, and David Matthew Hullum has just over 6.5%.

In the Democratic primary for State Representative District 72, with all precincts reporting, Monroe Nichols received 68.96% of the votes against Maria Veliz Barnes, with 31.04%.

For State Representative, District 74, with all precincts reporting, Republican Mark Vancuren has 85.39% of the vote with Brad Peixotto coming in with 14.61%.

In the District 79 State Representative race, with all precincts reporting, Republican Clay Iiams has 46.45% of the votes, Margie Alfonso has 28.79%, and Maria Mercedes Seidler came in with 24.77%.

For State Representative, District 83, with all votes in, Republican Eric Roberts has 80.32% of the vote against Robert McMaster, who has 19.68%.

For State Representative District 88, with all precincts reporting, Mauree Turner got 52.15% of the vote against Jason Dunnington, who received 47.85%.

In the Democratic primary for State Representative District 89, Jose Cruz got 74.36% of the vote against Chris Bryant, who got 13.09% and Cristian Zapata with 12.55%.

In the District 91 State Representative race, with all precincts in, Republican Chris Kannady has 79.61% of the vote and Bruce Fleming has 20.39%.

For State Representative District 94, with all precincts reporting, Republican Lauren Rodebush has 58.27% of the vote and Franklin Paul Cromack has 41.73%.

In the State Representative for District 95 race, with all votes in, Republican Max Wolfley got 56.96% of the vote and Daren Ward got 43.04%.

In District 96, with all votes in, the Republican primary had 4 candidates. Preston Stinson had 35.44%, Margaret Best had 31.11%, Ken Warner had 27.88% and Chris DeCloud had 5.57%.

In the Democratic primary for State Representative District 99, Ajay Pittman received 51.95% of the vote. Susan Porter ended up with 48.05%.

In the Republican primary for State Representative District 100, with all precincts reporting, Marilyn Stark got 59.1% of the vote and Cobi J. Ceron got 40.9%.
