The Ponca City Public School District has been made aware of a possible COVID-19 case, and has released the following statement:

“There has not been a positive confirmation of testing results, but to err on the side of caution to protect our students and staff, all indoor summer extra-curricular activities in Ponca City Public School facilities will be suspended through the holiday weekend until July 6, 2020.”

“However, outdoor activities may continue with the outlined safety guidelines in the PCPS Summer Activities Phase-in Plan. If there is a confirmed positive result, the Kay County Health Department will notify the District and will begin a contact tracing investigation.”

This is a developing story.
