SITUATION UPDATE: COVID-19

• As of this advisory, there are 12,642 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 in Oklahoma.
• Kay County is reporting 91 total confirmed cases of the virus, with 7 deaths, and 65 people in recovered status.
• Osage County has reported a cumulative total of 156 confirmed cases, resulting in 8 deaths, and 123 people who have recovered.
• There are seven additional deaths; two of them occurred in the past 24 hours.
  • One in Tulsa County, a female in the 50-64 age group.
  • One in Caddo County, a male in the 50-64 age group.
  • One in McCurtain County, a male in the 65 and older age group.
  • Two in Muskogee County, a male in the 65 and older age group and a female in the 65 and older age group.
  • One in Wagoner County, a male in the 65 and older age group.
  • One in Washington County, a female in the 65 and older age group.
• There are 384 total deaths in the state.

Oklahoma’s urban areas as well as a few communities around the state are experiencing a rise in active COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations due to increased social activity and mobility. It’s important to remember everyone is at risk for getting COVID-19.  For that reason we are asking individuals to remain vigilant in their efforts to reduce the spread of COVID-19.  Personal responsibility remains key in protecting yourself and our local communities from COVID-19.

✔️continue to practice social distancing,

✔️practice handwashing and personal health hygiene,

✔️wear a cloth face covering when in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain,

✔️individuals who are sick should self-isolate from the public and others and get tested for COVID-19.

❗️OSDH is urging Oklahomans who have chosen to attend large-scale gatherings in recent weeks to seek out testing for COVID-19, even if symptoms are not present.
