Athletes at Northern Oklahoma College Tonkawa earned a 3.29 Grade Point Average for the 2019-20 academic year.

Athletic Director Jeremy Hise recently announced the academic achievement for NOC Tonkawa athletes.

Overall, six athletic programs earned at least a 3.00 GPA.

“A 3.29 is an impressive GPA,” Hise said.  “It is hard to predict where team GPA’s will fall across the country, but I think we have a couple of programs with a legitimate shot at finishing in the top 10 in the nation in team GPA and maybe even another academic national title.”

“Congratulations to all of our student-athletes who have put in the hard work,” Hise added.  “Also, congratulations to all of the coaches who have put in the hard work with our student athletes.  This past semester presented some unique challenges.  I am certain that our coaches spent more time monitoring grades and communicating with student-athletes due to the distance and circumstances.”

The following are the teams who earned at least a 3.00 GPA:  Women’s Soccer – 3.59, Men’s Soccer – 3.06, Women’s Basketball – 3.24, Men’s Basketball – 3.10, Softball – 3.32, and Baseball – 3.60.

Overall, the combined GPA for the NOC Athletic Departments at Tonkawa and Enid was 3.21.
