GARBER, Okla. (AP) – A man wanted in the death of a woman in northern Oklahoma has been arrested in Arizona.

Garfield County Sheriff Jerry Niles told The Oklahoman that the man was arrested Sunday near Phoenix and is being held in the Maricopa County jail pending extradition.

Niles says the man is wanted in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found Saturday in Garber. Niles says another woman went to the victim’s apartment after finding the victim’s 4-year-old daughter wandering in the neighborhood.

Niles says the victim was found on the floor of the apartment with trauma to her body. Her name was not immediately released and Niles says the body was sent to the state medical examiner’s office for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
