Lew Wentz Golf Course offers free golf for kids

Lew Wentz Golf Course is giving kids a swing at trying golf. Kevin Brown, Lew Wentz Head Golf Professional said kids 17 and under can play for free, and there is only one stipulation.

“As long as they play with a paying adult, who is 18 or older," Brown said.

This deal is available now and kids are already putting their feet to the greens. Brown said this an attempt to get kids out to play. He said it seems like they come up with all kinds of excuses why they can’t play, so they’re trying to make it as easy as possible.

There is no catch to this deal. Brown said it’s available all day, everyday and fees are the same as normal.

“On the weekend our green fee is $20.60 and on a week day it’s $18," Brown said. "If they play nine holes that’s $12.35. So, any of those fees that an adult would pay, if they have a kid under 18 with them they get to play with the same deal whether it’s 9 or 18 or whatever.”

Those prices don’t include a cart and kids under 17 ride for free too. So, if you rent a cart just add $11.75 to the price. For example, if you went golfing with a kid on Saturday you would pay $32.35.
