Ponca City Police seek shooting information

Police need information from the public about Monday evenings shooting in the 900 block of West Oklahoma. The reporting party contacted the Communications Center at approximately 6:36pm saying that he’d heard a gunshot. When Police arrive, the victim wasn’t there and witnesses had scattered.

The victim, a male age 26, was dropped off at the Emergency room of the Ponca City Medical Center by a subject driving a silver van. The victim was admitted to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and has since been released.

“We want to get whoever is responsible off of the street” says Assistant Police Chief Anthony Rogers. “We need to know who took him to the hospital and who witnessed the shooting” Rogers added.
