Michael “Mike” Grant Davis
September 3, 1951 – April 2, 2020
Michael “Mike” Grant Davis, resident of Perry, OK, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2020. He was 68 years old.
Mike was born on September 3, 1951 to Willard and Loetta (Curtis) Davis in Stillwater, OK. Raised in Tulsa and Bristow, Mike graduated from Bristow High School in 1969. He operated his own dozer business for many years as well as being involved with farming and ranching. Before retirement, Mike and his brother worked as draftsman designing MRI rooms and various oilfield equipment.
Outside of work, he loved riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, being outdoors and spending time with his family and friends. When Mike spent time outdoors, he always felt like he was in church with just him and God. His knowledge of farming and gardening was sought out by many and he was well respected for his ability to grow anything.
Mike never met a stranger and always had a smile and story for the people he met throughout life. He was a great friend to many and enjoyed helping whenever he could. Mike had a love of good music and made sure to share that with the younger generations around him.
His family will miss spending time with him, listening to the vivid tales he told and getting one of his great hugs.
Michael is survived by his wife, Rachelle Davis of Perry, OK, children, Stephanie Michelle Davis of Denver, CO, Jeremy Johns Davis and wife, Courtney of Houston, Texas, and Betsy Ross Davis of Chicago, IL, grandchildren, Keller Johns Davis and Ruby Jane Davis of Houston, Texas, mother of his children, Sandra Davis of Ketchum, OK, brother’s, Randy Davis and wife, Theresa of Broken Arrow, Oscar Smith and Ronda of Bristow, Larry Dobrinski of Kansas, OK, sisters Guineal Redman and husband Kermit of Mulhall, Annette Crozier and husband Jack of Perry, Lisa Hise and Dennis Hockenberry of Ponca City, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and his beloved dog, Zeke Walker Davis.
