The Ponca City Public School district has named Liz Hargraves as the new principal at Lincoln Elementary School. She has been an educator in the district for 23 years teaching at Roosevelt, Lincoln and Trout Elementary Schools. She also served as curriculum specialist at Liberty last year.

"My 23 years of service in educating Ponca City children has been an amazing time in my life," Hargraves said. "I am very excited to be back at Lincoln in a leadership role. I look forward to embed positive relationships with students, staff, parents and the Lincoln community. I want every single student to grow academically and to have a yearning for learning."

Hasgraves attended Ponca City Public Schools in grades kindergarten through twelfth. She graduated from Oklahoma State University receiving a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She recently received a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership from Northwestern State University.

Superintendent, Dr. David Pennington said, "we believe that Ms. Hargraves’ combination of experience and leadership potential makes her the ideal candidate for the principal position at Lincoln."
