Astronomy club meeting Thursday at RecPlex

Ponca City Astronomy will hold its March meeting on Thursday, March 12, with a “Meet and Greet” at 6:30 p..m. and a meeting at 7 p.m. in the Art Studio of the Ponca City RecPlex.

Meetings will be held the second Thursday of each month in the Ponca City RecPlex.

The next “Sidewalk Astronomy Event” will be at 6:30 p.m. April 3. “Sidewalk Astronomy” is an event where  members set up telescopes on the sidewalk to allow people to view the moon and any planets available in the night sky. This event is open to the public and free.

The Astronomy group will be in front of the Ponca City RecPlex until about 9 p.m. If it is cloudy, the event will be cancelled until the next month
