Last Home Game for Basketball

Tonight beginning at 6:30 in Robson Fieldhouse is the last time Senior members of the Ladycats and Wildcats Basketball teams will take home court. The five Senior Ladycats are KaSandra Lyons, Baylee Fincher, Kabria Christian, Ryley Beard and Karis Branstetter. Coach Jody Fincher stated about this group, “Our final home game is going to be a tough one. This Senior class has helped put Lady Cat basketball on the map in Oklahoma. They have worked hard for four years and should be commended for their efforts.”

Friday night, the teams took Shawnee to court at Gallagher-Iba Arena. Coach Fincher was thankful, “What a great experience it was Friday night. It was an unbelievable atmosphere in Gallagher Iba Arena. The community really showed up and supported the kids. The girls had a great time and we are all very thankful to Coach Leavitt, Shelley Arrott and the school board for making this happen.”

Coach Ivan McFarlin has three Seniors seeing their final home game tonight, Luke Seals, Ben Suprobo and Cole Mason. He stated about the game at OSU, which he played for the OSU Cowboys for his four years, and tonight’s game, “The boys played good and i thought they showed a lot of fight! Playing on a historic court, this is something they will never forget! Im proud of all of them as well as the girls!! Ponca City has something special.  Cant wait for Guthrie Monday!”
