OKLAHOMA CITY  – Jayson Evans, one of Oklahoma’s 10 Most Wanted fugitives, has been apprehended following a multi-agency effort in Sulphur, marking the second arrest from the Attorney General’s Most Wanted list in the past two weeks.

The FBI arrested Evans after a tip led authorities to the Chickasaw National Recreation Area. National Park Service rangers discovered personal property belonging to Evans at a campsite, but Evans was not there. He was later spotted riding a bicycle in Sulphur, where FBI agents arrested him.

Evans was wanted on charges of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon with Intent to do Harm in Indian Country and Eluding a Police Officer in Indian Country.

“The capture of Jayson Evans represents the power of cooperation among our law enforcement partners and the vital role that vigilant citizens play in keeping our communities safe,” said Attorney General Gentner Drummond. “I want to express my sincere gratitude to the FBI, National Park Service, Murray County Sheriff’s Office, Chickasaw Lighthorse Police Department and Oklahoma Highway Patrol for their outstanding work in bringing this dangerous fugitive to justice.”
