Ponca City High School has announced the Valedictorian and Salutatorian

The Ponca City Senior High has announced the Valedictorian and Salutatorian for 2014.
Bethany Bookout received the honor of Valedictorian, while Candace Mathews is salutatorian.
Bethany Bookout is the daughter of Steve and Regina Bookout.
She plans to attend Chatham University in Pittsburgh, Penn. majoring in sustainability.
“ I would like to say thanks to my parents and family who have loved and supported me and have driven me to be successful,” Bookout said. “Thank you to all my teachers for giving me knowledge and helping me along in my academic career. Thanks to my church, my second family, who have supported me my entire life and helped raise me. As they say, it takes a whole village to raise a child, and this is definitely true in my case.”

Candace Mathews is the daughter of Dennis and Debra Mathews.
She plans on attending the University of Tulsa majoring in astro physics.

I would also like to thank my wonderful parents for supporting me no matter what and teaching me to reach for the stars.”
