2 killed in second fire at Tulsa church damaged by July blaze

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Authorities continue investigating the cause of a deadly fire in which two people were killed at a Tulsa church that had been closed after an earlier fire in July.

The Tulsa World reports firefighters battled the blaze for about four hours after it began early Friday morning at the Memorial Drive Church of Christ. Fire Department spokesman Andy Little says that firefighters searched the building and found two people. One individual, a man, died at the scene, while the other, a woman, died later Friday at a hospital.

Authorities had initially believed the building was vacant due to the significant damage from the July fire.
