Oklahoma police officer shoots, wounds Blanchard man

BLANCHARD, Okla. (AP) — State investigators say that a Blanchard police officer responding to a reported domestic dispute shot and wounded a man who came to the door of the residence holding a rifle.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation reports that they are investigating the shooting, which happened at about 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Authorities say that 56-year-old Robert Raines was shot one time and was transported to a hospital in stable condition.

The officer, whose name wasn’t released, has been placed on administrative leave.
