High School Band Holiday Concert Dec. 10

The Ponca City Senior High School Band will be performing its Holiday Concert at 7 p.m. Dec. 10 in the Concert Hall. There is no admission charge, and the entire community is invited.
The Jazz Band, Concert Band, and Steel Drum Band will perform. The Jazz Band is under the direction of Connor Pratt, and the Concert Band is under the direction of Connor Pratt, Andrew Orr, and David Christy. The Steel Drum Band is under the direction of Andrew Orr.
The Jazz Band will start the program, followed by the Concert Band. The Steel Drum Band will close the performance.
The Jazz Band will perform “White Christmas,” arranged by Paul Jennings. Soloist is Ryan Turnipseed, Andrew Orr will be on the trap set, and Director of Orchestras Paula Cochran will be on the piano. Their second selection will be “Let It Snow! Let It Snow!, Let It Snow!” arranged by Roger Holmes. Vocal Music Director Chad Keilman will be the featured vocalist.
“Latin Bell Carol,” arranged by Robert W. Smith, will be the Concert Band’s first performance, followed by “Russian Christmas Music,” arranged by Michael Story. Next will be “The Christmas Song,” arranged by John Cacavas and “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” arranged by Carl Strommen. “Russian Christmas Music” will feature Aubrey Critchfield, and Nikolas Hoecker will be the vocalist on “The Christmas Song.”
The Steel Drum Band will play “Deck The Halls,” arranged by Aaron Ziegler and “Ayko-Ayko,” arranged by Jeff Netizke.
