The Ponca City Rotary Club has given to the Ponca City Public School District in many ways for several years.

The club recently donated new dictionaries to all Ponca City School third grade students. Each dictionary is personalized with a name plate in the front of the book. This is an annual event for the Ponca City Rotary Club, and they hand-deliver the books to each school.

“In addition to the dictionaries, we also recently had a drive for supplies and funds for the PCPS Teen Pep program,” Rotary President Richard Winterrowd said.

“It was held at Astoria Blvd. Bistro & Bar and was a social hour for Rotarians hosted by Rotary Downtown. We met in local establishments downtown twice a month in a more casual setting. This group is very involved in service projects for worthy causes such as the Teen Pep program. Items such as diapers, baby care products, clothing and money were also donated. Each of the students in the program will be presented a $35 gift card in addition to the other gifts.”
