Monday afternoon, just before 3 PM, the Blackwell Industrial Authority/Oklahoma Department of Transportation was informed of a fire involving a railroad bridge north of Blackwell and that the Blackwell Fire Department was dispatched to the scene.
The Land Rush Rail team is currently on-site, actively assessing the situation to ensure the safety and security of the area and working with officials. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Blackwell Fire Department, Newkirk Fire Department, Kildare Fire Department, Moreland Farms, and the Kay County Sheriff’s Office for their swift response and hard work in mitigating this fire.
