Board of Education to consider two items at Thursday special meeting

The Ponca City Board Of Education will meet in a special meeting at noon Thursday, Nov. 21, at the Administration Center Board Room, 613 East Grand Ave., to consider and vote on two matters.

The first item is the purchase of a bus from National Bus Sales. The bus being considered is a 2020 Ultra Coachliner SE Bus.

If purchased, the new bus will function as the District’s new Wildcat Bus. The bus will be purchased from the lease line of National Bus Sales as a Demo model for $269,300. The company will credit Ponca City Public
Schools $10,000 for the 2000 Van Hool Wildcat bus as a trade-in. The total invoice cost is
$259,300.00. Bret Smith or Shelley Arrott will answer questions.

The second item is an agreement with Aspen Custom Electronics for lighting and sound equipment for the Howell Auditorium at Ponca City  High School.

The company will provide and install replacement lighting and sound equipment at a cost of $48,427.91. Bret Smith will answer questions.
