Friday night lights ended for the Fall Football Season 2019 for Ponca City Wildcats. It was a well fought battle with Wildcats winning 21-20 over Sapulpa Chieftains. It was also Senior Night with a tribute to 23 Football players, 2 Football Managers, 3 Cheerleaders, 14 Hi-Steppers and 20 Band Members.

Scoring for Ponca came in some really big plays. Eli Wohl started the scoring for Ponca just before halftime with an interception and a 65 yard touchdown run. Spencer Ball had the P.A.T. to make it 14-7, Sapulpa just before halftime. Third quarter Wohl scored again when Justin Andrews threw a 50 yard pass for the touchdown, Ball again with the P.A.T. This tied it up 14-14. Sam McKinney kept the excitement alive with a 90 yard touchdown run and Ball’s P.A.T. made it 21-14 with 3:06 left in the third quarter.

Sapulpa scored again in the fourth to finish it off 21-20, Wildcats winning.

The Wildcats finished their season 5-5 thanks to a talented team of hardworking young men and Coaches.
