LaMarcus Aldridge looked looked like he was back in his prime Thursday night against Oklahoma City.
He led San Antonio to a 121-112 win over OKC with his nearly perfect night from the floor.
Aldridge shot 19-for-23, or 82.6 percent, from the field. He missed just three 2-point attempts on his way to a 39-point outburst. The rest of his stat line was rather pedestrian, but the points were plenty to make sure San Antonio (5-3) would not drop the home game.
Spurs point guard Dejounte Murray stuffed the stat sheet, nearly recording a triple-double with 17 points, 10 assists and 8 boards.
San Antonio also dominated OKC on the glass, out rebounding the Thunder 47-31. No OKC player had more than 6 rebounds.
DeMar DeRozan added 16 points and 9 assists and young star Bryn Forbes scored 14.
The loss kept the Thunder (3-5) winless on the road with an 0-3 record away from the Chesapeake Energy Arena. Danilo Gallinari led OKC with 27 points, but the Thunder was minus-13 with him on the court.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was second on the team in scoring with his 21 points. It marks just the third time this season SGA did not lead the team in scoring. OKC is 1-2 in those games.
