Five arrested in Ponca City drug bust

Police officials said five people were arrested at two Ponca City apartments yesterday during a meth sweep.
Johnny Ray Wilson, 31, faces charges of possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute within 2,000 feet of a daycare, felon in possession of a firearm and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Tonya Marie Miller, 23, faces charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Marie M. Wieland, 32, faces charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute within 2,000 feet of a daycare, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony and possession of paraphernalia.
Christopher Joe Williams, 33, faces charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and use of surveillance camera to aid in the commission of a felony.
Debra Marie Sawyer, 43, faces charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.
Sawyer was the only of of the five that gave an address in Ponca City, other than the two apartments that were searched.
The apartment was in the 100 block of S. Pine and four law enforcement agencies worked together to converge on the apartments; The Kay County Sheriff’s Office, the Ponca City Police Department, the Osage County Sheriff’s Office and the Eighth District Drug Task Forced.
The investigation was a joint effort by the Ponca City Police Department and the Kay County Sheriff’s Office.
The Drug Task Force served two search warrants at about 4:15 p.m.
Also, Animal Control Officers confiscated three pit bulls from the apartment occupied by four of those arrested.
A 17 year old male and his father were question and then released by officers.
Police had been called to the apartment complex three other times during last month for disturbances and domestic assaults.
