NOC Native American Heritage Month set for November

 TONKAWA — Northern Oklahoma College Tonkawa is hosting Native American Heritage Month activities in November.

Planned activities include:

Nov. 5:  Wear Red (honor Missing Murdered Indigenous Women, MMIW)

Nov. 6:  Dance Exposition – Renfro Center, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Nov. 8:  NOC Northern Thunder Club vs. OSU NASA Hand Game – Renfro Center, 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Nov. 11:  Stickball – Central Hall Lawn, 10:30 a.m.

Nov. 13:  Spooky and Scary Storytelling – Gazebo, 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Nov. 14:  Rock Your Mocs Day (Show Pride by wearing moccasins/leggings)

Nov. 15:  Lecture and Artist’s Reception, Cultural Engagement Center, Walter Echo-Hawk at noon and Sonny Howell at 1 p.m.

Nov. 18:  Indian Dice Game, Cultural Engagement Center, noon
